These are a few miscellaneous pictures from Prince Edward Island that were not included previously.
The first picture is of a potato field, the second is of a potato field that has been planted with Buckwheat, about every 3-4 years, to control the wireworm. Mustard plants are used as well and apparently, increase the output of the potatoes that are subsequently planted.
The pie, which is real, is from Green Gables and we were told that it has been there for 14 years. It was quickly added that when the pie was baked and cooled, it was covered with something to preserve it. Maybe some kind of Botox...
The tractors seem to be a personal museum at a farm along side a road. Different makes and this type is not used today. The tractors that we saw in the fields were 4 to 5 times larger and "they run like a deere."

Earlier, I mentioned that I 'accidentally' deleted some photos from the SD card. Accidentally in that I made a big error!
I pulled the card from my camera so as to not corrupt it by chance. I tried 4-5 online software programs, mostly free one, which some would recover the files for viewing, but charge $ 90.00 or more to download them. I went to Best Buy's Geek Squad an they quoted me $ 200.00.
Back to the online products. The one that work and was free is EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. As with many of the programs, it took some time to figure out how to use it.

Cavendish, PEI... the home of Anne of Green Gables and of Anne, that is with an 'e', Shirley. Not only did we visit this site, which was the setting of Lucy Maud Montgomery, as she wrote her infamous novel, but we did go the see Anne of Green Gables - The Musical in Charlottetown, PEI. What a treat!
The first picture is a Lego creation of the home that belonged to Ms. Montgomery's relatives, where we stayed often. It took Island artist Ben MacLeod 100 hours to complete it. The second picture is the real thing... These are followed by the interior of the home.
The last two pictures are of the character, Anne Shirley, whose job is to walk around and have pictures taken of her. Not a bad job for a summer. The other is the path that is noted as 'Lover's Lane' in the book.

Back in Cumming, GA ...
The pictures are of part of the Eastern Coastal Route near Souris, PEI and the Southern Coastal Route toward Victoria, PEI.
There are a few beaches with white sand and the others are red sand, to which we did not go to any. We did climb the first lighthouse, that was also was a nautical museum.
Victoria is a small village that has two restaurants on the pier. The one that we were going to eat at was closed, but the other one was fantastic.
The last lighthouse was one the way back to Charlottetown, which is across the bay from the lighthouse.
The last two photos represent a lesson in photography. The tendency is to see a composition that you want as a picture. Sometimes, it is because everyone else is taking the same shot, as in the lighthouse. After taking the picture, I turned around and saw two different paths. Unlike David Thoreau... Ooops, Robert Frost, I eventually took both and the last two pictures are the results.

We arrived on Prince Edward Island via a ferry and, as you disembark it, look to the right where there is one of 63 lighthouses. Many that we saw were somewhat similar to this one. Also, the coast is mostly red sand.
We took a trip alone the Eastern Coastal Route. PEI is a farming province. Potatoes, corn, strawberries, and a few vineyards are what is prevalent. Potatoes rule on PEI!
We stopped in Georgetown for one of the best lunches. Linda had Haddock and I had the very best Bread Pudding. Yes, we did share it. We went to a memorial garden, which was in honor of loved ones of individuals. We do not know how it is maintained. I do know that it was very serene. We headed out for Souris, PEI, where there is one of the beaches with white sand, not the red sand. Pictures to follow tomorrow.
