Larry Taylor, Linda's brother, who surprised her with a visit as her birthday present, and I went to Dahlonega, GA to tour the Consolidated Gold mine.  The Dahonelga gold rust predated the California gold rush.  Check the following link for more information.

There are other links for the Georgia gold rust that are informative by doing an internet search. If you find a link of a tour of the mine, I would recommend it.  It will give more information than I could do here.

September 21, 2019

The first two photos stood out to me as I was reviewing the shots taken yesterday for two different reasons.  The pond was so idyllic and the waterlily seemed to say, Look at me!"  All  the while, hiding in the shadows and not under the bright lights.

The other pictures are from Lane's Auto Museum, just south of Nashville, which we visited about 8 years ago.

These photos are from two years age on top of Cadillac Mountain in Maine.  Great memories...

The last picture is the original from which I processed the black and white.  I was working on the sunburst with a feature on my software.

September 8, 2019

We have not hiked up the hill to the Manor House at Gibbs Gardens recently so yesterday was the day to do it.

The black and white photo of the reflection is a reclamation project of a photo that the color had no redeeming qualities.

September 4, 2019

We went to Ellijay on Monday and ate at our favorite restaurant there, Canterberry's.  Then it was on to Mack Aaron's Apple House to get some Honey Crisp apples.  From there, we traveled the back roads to Long Creek Falls in Blue Ridge.  The last 5 miles was on a very bumpy dirt road at 10 miles per hour.

The trail to the falls was, for the most part, easy, but the closer you got to the falls, it became more inclined and 'rooty."  It was about one mile in and one mile out, but going out was down hill, which is best, in our opinion.
