Here are some pictures that were taken in 2007. Down memory lane... although, the waterfall picture has been an enigma to me. I could not remember where it was taken. I have search North Georgia's waterfalls to no avail. One last try today, only I decided to try North Carolina. I found it! it is Silver Run Falls, near Cashiers.
Other photos are from Maine, Destin, Florida, Charleston, South Carolina. The first picture is of a lazy river at night.

Saturday morning I went out of the house and heard the 'whoosh" of the hot air balloon flying over our home. The moon was still out.
Later, we hiked to Duke's Creek Falls, which is near Helen, GA. The trail is a little over a mile in length and zig-zags down to the falls. The first picture of the area is near the beginning of the trail, in which the creek runs along side as you get closer to the bottom of trail.
The last two pictures of the the falls are the same shot, but the first of them is a fairly standard composition and the next was taken with a neutral density filter and the exposure was for two minutes. I wanted the silky look of the falls and the water below the falls to be smooth as glass.
The next to the last picture is of Yonah Mountain and the last picture was on the way home

Linda did a little art gardening or is it Garden Art??? A neighbor introduced her to it and they look great!
The last two photos are of a saying that was on a sign in one of the shops we went into while in Madison. Linda liked it so I took a picture of it and added the text to a couple of photos that I had taken recently.

We took an afternoon trip to Madison, Georgia, which is about one and a half hours away, on Saturday. We have been there at least six times and it is one of those towns that Sherman did not destroy. The main street has many antebellum homes and many homes that, either have been or are being, remodeled to enhance the neighborhood.
It is an easy place for walking around to view the homes, to "window shop" in the shops that surround the downtown area, or trek to one of a number of restaurants. There is a 'Christmas Parade of Homes early in December, which is on our Bucket List.
Yikes! I am beginning to sound like a 'shill ' for the town or a travel writer...
The county courthouse is stately and there are homes that have trees and foliage around them that make it difficult to photo.

Here
are a few pictures from our backyard from in the past 24 hours. The
first is of a spider web that is laden with small drops of water from
the rain last evening. I was taking a picture of something else, which
did not make it past the delete button. As I turned to go back into the
house, I saw the web on the Pampas Grass.
Next is a Pink Mandevilla, which is a durable in the sun and the color holds. Lastly, a couple of Mockingbirds that scream for a caption. I added the one on the top right for effect.

I have posted two of these photos previously, but not the exact same photo. Here, I took photos that were not good 'out of the camera" and did some processing, which I have done in the past. It is High-Dynamic-Range or HDR, which was when I was using a different software. I wanted to work with my current program and am quite satisfied with the results. I would not have posted them if I wasn't... Go figure!
The third set interested me particularly because the mountains in the background stands out more in the cloud bank.
The first is the original and the second is the processed. Some photos are nonredeemable, but not all.

Another 'beautiful day in the neighborhood' and I had a little time and decided that I would take pictures of flowers. Some of which I had never seen previously. I am always amazed at how many different varieties there are.
Did you know that there are four different varieties of Bass. The one that I posted yesterday was a Largemouth Bass. There is a Smallmouth Bass, which we we had in good supply in New Hampshire, Striper Bass, and White Bass. Who knew?
I look at flowers and trees, sunrises and sunsets, clouds in the sky, and even the human body and stand in awe of our Creator.
